  • Kilmainham Gaol - Dublin - Cells were roughly 300 square feet in area. Each cell was given one candle  that had to last for two weeks and that candle was the only source of light and heat.   Most of the time prisoners existed in the dark and cold. Women and children were incarcerated up to 5 in each cell, There was no segregation of prisoners

  • Poulnabrone Dolmen the Portal Tomb is a neolithic portal tomb spanning 600 years of burials dating to the 6th millennium BC. Ice sheets in the last Ice Age shaved the surrounding limestone flat and lacy patterns flow through the stone where water dissolves the soft rock
